Jenn Air electric cooktop cartridges come in two styles, the most popular being the Designer Line, the other Expressions® series. The notable difference between the two are the terminal locations for the plugin receptacle. The Designer Line cartridges have the terminals located at the narrow cartridge end while the Expressions® models are located at the cartridge side.

Basically, all Jenn Air cartridges of the same design are interchangeable. Older ranges/cooktops that used cartridges with 4 flat blade plug-in terminals will require the appliance's cartridge receptacle wiring modified or a newer 3 terminal cartridge to be adapted by the adding of a forth terminal and its wiring altered before it be able to be used on such older appliances. Older 3 terminal cartridges should be able to be replaced with newer 3 blade cartridges without any modifications.

Replacement Jenn Air cartridges usually start at around $150.00 but very greatly depending on the cartridge design and element style.
