: I serched the enitire range and could not find
: the Model number tag. All I know about it is
: that it is a Magic Chef Gas Range.
From the Appliance411 'Repair Part' section's "Model Tag Search":
Magic Chef Gas Range Tag Location:
The model number tag can usually be found beneath the range top, if it is removable. On models with sealed top burners, the model number plate can usually be found on the front frame of the stove behind the drawer.
In addition to the model number, you may also need the serial number from the model tag to get replacement parts.
Magic Chef Parts Notes:
Part numbers are only rarely found on the old parts. Any numbering you find are manufacturing codes and cannot usually be trace to a part number. True part numbers have 2 usual forms either 4 numbers, a dash then 3 more numbers or 8 digits (letters and numbers), a dash then 2 more numbers. Eg. 1482-224, 7432P025-60.
: I am trying to find the model number so I can
: order a Thermostat knob.
If you are unable to locate the model number tag and there are no part numbers on the original part, you can look through the online catalog at the link below to see if you can pick out the knob used on your model by the illustrations they provide.
